I created a campaign to encourage Singaporeans to visit local nature reserves frequently and to be better educated on them and their biodiversity, in line with Singapore’s “City in Nature” agenda. It is meant for people to find out more about the biodiversity in nature reserves so that people can learn more about local wildlife.
The concept is an investigative campaign, where participants would play the roles of “detectives” trying to recover and find out more about the “missing cases” (flora and fauna that have gone extinct or are threatened in status).
Posters
The posters feature animals from the four different nature reserves, with information about where the animal was “last seen” in these places. Each nature reserve is also given a representational colour to increase recognizability among participants of the campaign. The QR code on the poster will be linked to the campaign’s website
WEBSITE
The main features of the website are to highlight the Flora & Fauna of the Month and virtual tours of the reserves.
Users can access information about the Flora & Fauna of the month and learn about them through videos.
They can have a better understanding of the nature reserves by stimulating themselves through the virtual tours and understanding the area through the interactive map.
They can also sign up for different activities through the Tours & Workshops section as well.
APP
There are three main sections for the app: Our Nature Reserves, The Encyclopedia, and Tours & Workshops.
Our Nature Reserves: Features information about the four nature reserves, trails, and sights that can be seen and a trail tracker for users to track their trail progress at the different sections.
The Encyclopedia: Features two sub-sections, one for Fauna and the other for Flora. The headers for each section will feature Flora & Fauna of the Month. Users can check out interesting facts about the local biodiversity.
Tours & Workshops: Features three sub-sections of different activities, Guided Tours, Health & Relaxation, and Fun & Recreational. Users can sign up for different activities through the app itself.
GUIDED TOURS
Guided Tours are suitable for anyone above the age of 12. With professional guides, the tours would educate participants on the biodiversity of the respective nature reserves. By participating in quizzes, participants would be kept engaged throughout the tour, through the app.
Map
It features the rules of the nature reserve, a short write-up of the nature reserve, featured trails, and most importantly the map for wayfinding. The back of the pamphlet includes the contact details of the nature reserve and a QR code to encourage visitors to download the App.
GOODIE BAG
Participants can opt to purchase a goodie bag when they register for the Guided Tour. It will include everything they would need and it is great for people who do not know what to prepare when they visit nature reserves.

GIFTS
After submitting their pledge, participants will get keychains of the Flora and Fauna of the Month. Doing so increases the collectability of these gifts which will encourage people to participate in the Guided Tours again.
OLLY'S BIG ADVENTURE
Not to worry, for our younger participants twelve and below, we have Olly’s Big Adventure! Younger participants can have even more fun through engaging and interactive activities.
MEET OLLY!
Olly the Otter is a private investigator who loves investigating more about the shrinking biodiversity of Singapore. He always does his best to help all his forest friends and educate humans about our local nature reserves, in hopes that they will have a better understanding of our local biodiversity.
GOODIE BAG
Participants can opt to purchase the Goodie Bag for Olly’s Big Adventures but are required to purchase the Guidebook, as the activities would be held through it.

GUIDEBOOK
For our younger participants, instead of using the app, they will be using the Guidebook. All guidebooks would have information about the nature reserve, its history, its unique traits, and its biodiversity. The Guidebook is meant to be interactive to engage our younger participants throughout the tour.
Take a look at the Sungei Buloh Guidebook that Olly has completed!
GIFTS
After getting all the chops on their identity pass, our participants can redeem either a “ Badge of Completion” (Pin Button Badges) or a “Medal of Completion” (Phone Grips). With four to collect, this will encourage our young participants to join us at our other nature reserves.
